Rohaise was in her sixth year at Hogwarts. The Ravenclaw girl had made quite an impression on her professors through the years, so much so that they had appointed her as prefect for fifth- and sixth-years. With any luck, she would make Head Girl in her seventh year; although she failed to see who could make a better candidate. No - surely - it would all come together for her. Wouldn't it? There were girls like Maggie Spengler at Hogwarts. She was on the Gryffindor quidditch team, and often ruled the field. Rohaise didn't pretend to know the ins and outs of quidditch, but she could tell that Maggie was no fill-in for better players: she was the one who everyone wanted to watch. She was extremely talented, and this was extremely frustrating. People liked her. They were drawn to her. She also seemed to be better at managing people than Rohaise was, although Roh would never admit to that. A few days ago, Rohaise wrote an article about the most recent quidditch game. It wasn't something she really liked to write about: Rohaise was more gossip and real life stories, but the kid who usually wrote the quidditch articles had ended up in the hospital wing for the week. So, in this article, Rohaise had started by generally praising the team and that they had played well, and that as a Ravenclaw she supported Gryffindor over the Slytherin team. Then she started talking about their star player. Several sources have disclosed rumours of Spengler's relationship with the previous captain of the Gryffindor team, and many have implied that the reason for her standing within the team has a lot to do with him. There have been talks of private, one-on-one coaching between the two of them; as well as a romantic relationship behind the scenes. Could it be that Spengler's talent is merely a product of nuturing from this ditched lover? The rumours really had just been that: rumours. Whoever knew this would be the beginning of a very long, fruitful career... Rohaise quite liked writing about Quidditch, surprisingly. She was currently on the pitch, on the stands, watching to see if anyone interesting came out of the changing rooms to interview. She needed another article for the school paper, after all. OOC: No need to post length match or anything silly like that, mine is just this long for introductory purposes lol! MAGGIE SPENGLER

The sixth year girl had fully intended on practicing on the pitch. In fact that was about all she did nowadays swapping studies for laps in the air (and it showed). Then again that is why she was here in the first place wasn't it? So what if her spellcasting suffered? As long as she got in working order for the professional Quidditch season no one was going to care. As long as she helped her team bring home a victory no one would care what her grades were. Well, that wasn't entirely true. McGonagall cared... A lot. But the wizarding government could be convincing and the Americans could be, well, stubborn. At least the intention had been to practice today. Once she was about to set foot on the pitch she spotted a familiar face in the stand and her eyes instantly narrowed with recollection. She felt her fingers tighten around the handle of her broomstick that they threatened to turn white from blood less beneath her gloves. She couldn't stop herself, even with one of her teammates reaching to pull her back by the collar, she yanked free her eyes never once leaving her intended target. She roughly chucked her broom onto the ground and stormed into the stands toward Rohaise. "What the f*** are you doing here? Gryffindor has the pitch reserved." She nearly snarled as she closed the distance between the two of them standing to one of the bleacher rungs. "It's not like you need to be here to see anything anyways. You just make up want you want in the end so why don't you get out of here?" It was taking all of her might to not murder the younger girl with her bare hands. Was nothing sacred anymore?

A figure in the distance tossed her broom aside in rage. This could only be Spengler, she thought. Immediately her heart started to race with adrenaline: she was approaching her, and she looked as though she wanted a fight. Maybe she would actually go as far as hexing her? Rohaise had her wand at the ready. In the time it took Maggie to storm over to the stands, Rohaise had managed to calm herself. Slow breathe in: slow breathe out. She had this. "I was under the impression that there could still be spectators to training sessions," She said matter-of-factly, smirking at her. "Make it up? Oh, you flatter me." She giggled. "But my imagination isn't quite that good..."Her eyes studied the length of her. Yes - Rohaise actually believed her own lies. Well, she believed the rumours anyway. "I could give you the opportunity to make a comment on what I wrote, of course. I'll be glad to hear what you have to say." She enjoyed pushing her buttons way too much. MAGGIE SPENGLER

"Yeah there can be if the team training doesn't mind and my team minds. I mind. So you can pick up your shit and get out of here." If she looked like she wanted a fight it was probably because she did. Maggie wasn't exactly the best liar and she wasn't that good of an actor either. She tended to wear most things right on her sleeve and run her mouth just as badly... Like now. But it wasn't like this other girl didn't deserve it for the utter trash that she had been peddling.
"Yes make it up cause that stuff you published is fucking bull." And how dare she. It was hard enough to be a woman in this profession but then to have untrue accusations thrown around making it even more difficult? Well, that was too far. "Are you that desperate for people to know who you are that you need to make something up at someone else's expense?" But something told Maggie she already knew the sad answer to that. "You're pathetic, Kane." And slimy, and disgusting, and gross and every other nasty name the English dictionary had to offer. This obnoxious girl was all that and then some.
"Any halfway decent reporter would have asked me for my comment prior to publishing the article so I guess you're not a halfway decent reporter and no you can't. I want nothing to do with anything you write or you. You stay away from me you hear? Keep my name away from your quill and out of your mouth."

"... Wow."She chuckled a little, and then it turned into laughter. It was actually surprising to see her so riled up over something Roh considered very trivial. Then again, Roh was something of a cold-hearted bitch, really. "You're a stretch over sensitive, honey," She told her, her face full of mocking. "And a real attitude problem as well, apparently. Have you thrown all your dolls out the pram now, or should I stay longer for the show?" She paused and tapped her cheek thoughtfully. "I'm surprised you view it as me wanting attention. If anything, the focus has all been on you. You should thank me. People are talking about you a lot more now."She smiled ever-so-sweetly. "You can threaten me all you like. I'm not intimidated by you." Her smile dropped then, very quickly. Still, she picked up her bag and slung it over her shoulder; with all intentions of leaving. As entertaining as it was to see Maggie lose her cool, she didn't want to do anything that could get her in trouble with the faculty. Her record was far too clean for that. MAGGIE SPENGLER

This girl actually had the nerve to laugh at her. This brazen twat. It was taking every fiber of her being to not just deck the sixth year out but she didn't need to get expelled. She would never hear the end of it from the wizarding government if she let her anger get the best of her... again.
"And you're a bitch." She was all too quick to cut her off right when the nickname of honey left her mouth. She hated pet names and she definitely didn't like when someone she didn't even know used them on her. It felt violating in a way. She couldn't explain it and she didn't owe Rohaise anything of the sort. "Yeah. How dare a girl stand up for herself against lies and defamation. It's a real problem when you're called on your bullshit I guess." She shot back with a glare that could cut right through the other girl. "You must think you're some sort of Skeeter huh? Hate to break it to you but you're worse. At least she sometimes gets things right." Rita should be aging out of the reporting game any day now and it was scary to think what this girl might do if filling the open office space.
"I don't want people to talk about me." She just wanted to play Quidditch and sleep. Even eating was optional. She watched as the other girl picked up her bag and felt herself untense ever so slightly. Good, at least she was leaving so there would be one moment of peace. "Hurry up. We don't have all day." She nodded toward her team who were waiting down on the pitch. By the looks of things they didn't want Rohaise spying on them either.
