The Ministry of Magic hosted many events such as these: galas and formal dances and the like. There were a lot of well-to-do people gathered inside one, large hall decorated gaudily with gold and silver; every one of them were important, were in the entertainment world or politics, or were just simply known faces in the wizarding world. You wouldn't get regular folk in here. That being said, Rohaise Kane had managed to get an invitation and she was in the media. But, she supposed, she had always toed the line when it came to Ministry business: her speciality was outing celebrities, anyway. Not corrupt politicians. They wanted to keep her happy, maybe.
Rohaise was wearing a long, silvery mermaid-type dress with a sweetheart neckline. Her hair was tied back, as usual. She could never quite shake that style. She was holding a glass of white wine which she had hardly touched: it was well within her interests to stay on the alert this evening. Something big might go down, after all. Something worthy of a quick splash on page fifteen, or at the least a good gossip session with her and her girl friends.
She was getting a little bored, if truth be told. There was a lot of Ministry chat going on around her, something she wasn't really involved or interested in, so she took to sweeping about the room trying to find someone good to talk to. Fortunately, she struck gold (no pun intended). There was a familiar face amongst the crowd. Smirking, she approached them. Perhaps this evening would take a turn for the better after all.
"Enjoying yourself there?" She asked derisively.
